He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Stokes and Olive Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Donna Weathington Stokes; his sons, Dr. Jayme Stokes (Laura) of Wilmington and Chadwick Lee Stokes of Winterville; his grandchildren, John of Wilmington, Christopher of Wilmington and Daphne Stokes of Wilmington; his sister Mavis Bland of Morehead City; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy Pate (Ronald) of Ayden, Stephanie Bess (Todd) of Greenville, Chris Weathington (Su) of Chapel Hill and Patrick Kennedy (Anne) of Winterville.
