He is survived by: his wife Lorenza Kinsly Kilpatrick; his children, Jerry Kilpatrick of Fayetteville, NC, Michael (Jeanette) of Kinston, NC, Chris Rhem of Alaska, Travis Stevenson of Greenville, NC, Mychael Rhem, Tiwanda Kilpatrick of Fayetteville, NC, Ressie Kilpatrick of Texas, Amelia Hardy (Willie) of Kinston, NC, Karen Sutton of Kinston, NC, Lynette Edwards (Kim) and Debra Jones (Deroy) of Grifton, NC; and his sisters, Julia Mae and Dwanda. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
