She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Tosh and Stella Amanda Carte; her husband Robert Garland Bowen; her son John Andrew Bowen; and her siblings, Margaret Green, Jim Tosh and Joe Tosh.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Jean Bowen of Ayden, N. C. and Robert Garland Bowen, Jr. of Monroe, N. C.; and her grandchildren, Jesse Andrew Bowen and Hudson Timothy Bowen.
