He is survived by: his wife Iris Brown Harper; his sons, Kristan Artis of Raleigh, NC and Kristopher Artis of Greenville, NC; his stepchildren, Maurice Hart Jr., Marc Shackleford of Raleigh, NC, Michael Artis of Snow Hill, NC, Destiny Brown and Mya Hart; and his siblings, William L. Harper of Hookerton, NC, Timothy Harper of Hookerton, NC, Jessie Harper of Grifton, NC, Victoria Harper of Snow Hill, NC, Jacqueline Harper of Grifton, NC and Jennifer Harper of Ayden, NC. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
