He is survived by: his wife Glenda Cannon; his children, Sherry Cannon Ammons (Fred) of Zebulon, Joseph Alton Cannon of Grifton and James Caleb Cannon of Grifton; his granddaughters, Amber and Clara Cannon; and his sister Cindy Cadwell (Charles) of Raleigh.
