She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton B. Cox and Annie Arnold Cox; her husband Bill Smith; and her siblings, Mildred Wilson, CJ and Bruce Cox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Eppley of Greenville and Tena Hardee (Charles Hardee) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Jordan Blodgett (Kyle Blodgett), Jessie Massey (Brack Massey), Jamie Stone (David Stone), Chad Eppley, Dylan Eppley and Kalie Eppley; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Tucker, James Blodgett, Mackenzie, Brinley, Braxton Massey, Ben, George and Teddy Stone; and her sisters, Mae Eichorn and Judy Smith (Danny Smith).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Pitt County Animal Shelter, or Ayden Christian Church.
