It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Smith Jr. (Autryville, North Carolina), born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 21, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Harris and Robert Harris. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smith; his daughters, Elizabeth Lindley of Sanford, NC and Josette Smith of Fredericksburg, VA; and his siblings, Evelyn Fulford of Fair Hope, AL, Carolyn Swann of Stedman and Gordon Smith of Fernandina Beach, Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
