He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Eaton and Katherine Ellen Mers (Phillips); his brother Steve Mers; and his niece Courtney McKay. He is survived by : his pets, Otis, Jake and Blondie; his wife Peggy M. Mers of Aurora; his sister Cyndy Rowe (Roger) of Reelsboro; and his niece Michelle Kite (Darren) of Wyoming.
