He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Harvey and Hattie Paul Austin. He is survived by: his wife Sydney Anderson Austin; his children, James "Jim" Austin (Ann) of Greensboro, Karen Austin Cayton (Sid) of Aurora and Paula Austin Gilgo (Murray) of New Bern; his grandchildren, Natalie Sepulveda (Justin), Ashlea Austin Robertson (Bud), Kara Cayton Egan (Jordan), Madison Gilgo and Andrew Gilgo; and his great grandchildren, Evy and Parker Sepulveda.
