It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Ball (Aurora, North Carolina), born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on May 27, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Smith and Jennie Covert Smith; her husband William E. Ball; her daughter Carolyn Gray; and her siblings, Edgar Smith and Betty Jane Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, William F. Ball (Pam), Clyde Herbert Ball, Jennifer Campbell (Larry), Donna Belle Smith (Coley) and Martha Jane McKinney; and her sister Shelby Powell. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
