It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Bennett (Aurora, North Carolina), born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on May 16, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Rufus Lancaster Bennett and Violet Mae Ferrell Bennett; his son Charles "Reed" Bennett; and his sisters, Joan B. Walker and Adelene B. Gurganus.
He is survived by : his former life partner Mary Jeannette Weathersby; his wife Jeannette Bennett; his daughters, Sheila Bennett Brinson (Jon) of Grantsboro and Vicki Bennett Wank (Jason) of Newport; and his grandchildren, Hunter Bennett, Jace, Macy, Kelsy Brinson, Molly, Mason Wank, Riley, Colin Callahan and Raylan Wilkinson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
