She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynton Yancey Taylor and Rosabelle Phillips Taylor; her husband Oquinn Askew; her daughter Priscilla Askew Kowalski Barrett; and her siblings, Emerald Dahl, Iris Johnson, Joyce Vann, Louise Cummings, Amy Harp and Len Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Askew Lowe of Tyner, NC; her sister Sally Beaman of Newport News, VA; her grandchildren, Catherine Langfitt (Dean) of Jamestown, NC, Janice Cox (David), Anthony Kowalski (Marie Ayers) of Aulander, NC and Quinn Lowe (Nancy) of Cary, NC; and her great grandchildren, Colin Lowe, Kelton Langfitt, Jesse Cox, Jackson Cox, Kyndahl Langfitt and Kerri Langfitt. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
