He is survived by: his children, Cindy Byrd Cummings of Aulander, NC, Michael Paul Byrd of Creedmoor, NC and Jason Tyler Byrd; his grandchildren, Nikkie, Kelly, Brandon, Jordan and Micayla; his great grandchildren, Chassidy, Emily and Lenore; his grandson Austin; and his siblings, Barbara Byrd Tadlock (Milton) of Windsor, NC, Erma Byrd Ford (Al) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Jean Byrd Ward of Vanceboro, NC and Edward Byrd (Linda) of Windsor, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
