He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Demary and Dorothy Hyman Demary. He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Hyman of Loganville, GA and Larry Hyman Jr. (Fatima) of Snellville, GA; the mother of his children Gloria Hyman of Ahoskie, NC; and his siblings, Sarah Artis (Herman) of Aulander, NC, Michelle Thompson of Brooklyn, NY, William McCoy Demary (Barbara) of Lewiston, NC, David Demary (Gloria) of Elizabeth City, NC and James Demary (LaLa) of Lewiston, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
