He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Farmer Jones and Aris "Baldy" Jones; his siblings, Sidney Jones, Violet Jones Cooke and Ernestine "Tine" Jones; his nephew Jonathan Jones; and his pet Lexi.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Lisa Rushing (Tim) of Aulander, Dee Dee Morris (Chris) of Kelford and Ken Jones (Jennifer) of Aulander; his grandchildren, Kimberly Askew (Steven), Ally Castelloe (Jerry), Brittany Odom (Victoria), Nicholas Morris, Anna Jones and Brandon Jones; his great grandchildren, Emma Castelloe, Evi Watson, Jackson Castelloe, Averie, Aylin and Adyson Stroud; his mother-in-law Belva Morris; and his friend John Outlaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service (205 NC-42, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Millennium Pentecostal Holiness Church (247 Millennium Rd, Aulander, NC 27805). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Job Cemetery.
