It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Bailey Phipps of Aulander, North Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Glenn Bailey and Martha Camilla Brown Bailey; and her siblings, Edward Bailey, Faye Conner and Elsie Peoples.
She is survived by: her husband Keith Phipps; her sons, Tommy Dunn (Karen) of Askewville, Barry Dunn (Jennifer) of Tyner and George Dunn of Murfreesboro; her grandson Gilbert Dunn (Breanna) of Askewville; her sister Shirley Hatcher (Welton) of Oak Island; and her sister-in-law Peggy Bailey of Nashville, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
