It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen L. Edwards of Aulander, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lofton and Velma Lofton; her husband James Edwards; her siblings-in-law, Elder Jasper McMickle Sr. and Arronetta Lofton; and her nephew Jason Harvey.
She is survived by: her child Paris Lofton of Norfolk; her grandchildren, Nasean Johnson and Aniyah Lofton of Aulander; her siblings, James Lofton (Nancy) of Portsmouth and Sharon McMickle of Norfolk; and her daughter-in-law Nakita Lofton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
