He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen James Lassiter and Rosia Slade Lassiter; his granddaughter Bobbie Sue; and his sisters, Erma Hurdle, Ethel Lassiter, Catherine Shores, Claire Bo Shores and Netty Jane Shores.
He is survived by: his sons, Danny Lassiter (Sandra) of Robersonville, NC and Gregory Bruce Lassiter Sr. of Aulander, NC; his daughter-in-law Margie Larue; and his grandchildren, Bruce Lassiter (Jessi) of Aulander, NC, Quinton Wayne Lassiter (Mindy) of Silva, NC, Jamie Lassiter of Cherokee, NC, April Lassiter (Melanie Lassiter) of Asheville, NC and Leann Lassiter of Cherokee, NC. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
