He is survived by: his spouse Marjorie Early Tayloe; his sons, Freddie A., Herbie C. Tayloe (Alice) of Ahoskie and John M. Tayloe of Aulander; his grandchildren, Wendy A. Tayloe of Louisville, KY, Lauren E. Tayloe of Ahoskie, Jacob R. Tayloe (Tori) of Ahoskie and Randy Tayloe (Dee) of Aulander; and his great grandchildren, Jessica Tayloe of Willow Springs, Amberliegh of Ahoskie, Nathaniel of Ahoskie and Eric Tayloe of Ahoskie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
