He is survived by: his wife Diane; his son Don Lassiter (Rachel); his granddaughters, Carleigh and Keira Lassiter; and his brothers, Bobby Lassiter of Aulander, Larry Lassiter of Aulander and Ricky Lassiter (Joyce) of Aulander.
