She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Howard, Sr. and Ima Jeanette Phelps Ainsley; her husband J. D. Outlaw; her brother Thomas H. "Buddy" Ainsley, Jr.; and her half-sister Lisa Nichols.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy Ball, Jr. (Erica) of Roanoke Rapids, Richard Ball (Rhonda) of Aulander and Ryan Ball (Crystal) of Windsor; her sisters, Gloria Gibbs of Scotland Neck and Terri Williams of Chatham, VA; her grandchildren, Makayla, Linsey, Haley, Brandon, Savannah, Cadence and Adam; and her great grandchildren, Paisley and Reed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
