He is survived by: his wife Linda Willis Smith; his daughter Katie; his sister Kathy Jo Fulcher of Morehead City; his nephew-in-law Guy Carpenter of Morehead City; his great-nephew Garrett Carpenter; his aunts and uncles, Diane, Steve Sapp of Excelsior Springs, MO, Guy and Myrnaloy Smith of Rapid City, SD; his parents-in-law, Gene and Nancy Willis of Williston; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Deruise (Billy Deruise) of Newport, Teresa Lane of Williston and Wayne Willis of Otway; his nephew Gage Willis of Otway; and his cousin David Brandon Smith of New Bern. He is also survived by the many animals and "fur babies".
