He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Alexander and Flora Bell Martin; his wife Betty White (Sue); his sons, Michael Reid (Michaela) and Phillip Ashley (Sarah); his granddaughters, Bella Reid and Lilly Grace; his pets, Oliver and Wrigley; his siblings, Jim (Donna), Jean (Billy), Judy Joseph (Lourdes) and Jeffery (Beth); and also Nelson "Nick" Klein. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private service due to the constraints of the covid 19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Atlantic United Methodist Church, Sarah James Fulcher Memorial Fund or House of Hope of North Carolina would be greatly appreciated by the family.
