He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Brown Barnes of Atlantic Beach; his children, Vikki Barnes Howard (Jim) of Oak Island, NC and William Clifton Barnes III (Andrea) of Cary; his sister Jean LaGrange of Rocky Mount; his grandsons, Christopher Nunnally (Emily) of Greenville, Nicholas Nunnally (Khristi) of Jacksonville, NC and William Griffin Barnes of Cary; his great grandchildren, Nathan Nunnally of Jacksonville, Kaylee Nunnally of Jacksonville, Thomas Jarvis of Greenville and Emmo Nunnally of Greenville; and his nieces and nephews, Linda LaGrange Overman (Boyd) of Greenville, Toni Jean LaGrange Melton of Raleigh, NC, Barbara Huffham of The Villages, FL, Jackie Wilson of Las Vegas, Waynie Suttle of Tulsa, OK, Georgia Arrington of Fredericksburg, VA, Perry LaGrange (Cindy) of Rocky Mount, NC and Kirk Gardner Jr. of Cary, NC..
