She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sallie Neal and David Conard Summerlin; her husband George Rose Vinson; her children, George Rose Vinson Jr. (Judy Best), William "Woody" Vinson (Carol Vinson), Betsy "Sherry" Sharon Vinson and Roger Bryant Vinson (Beth Vinson); and her grandchildren, Jessica Best, Bud Vinson (Suzanne), Danielle Vinson Pait (Kaleb), Kelly Holland, Cameron Anderson and Tennille Vinson Walker (Steven).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Vinson Family Cemetery (206 Vinwood Ave, Goldsboro, NC 27530).
