He is survived by: his wife Darlene Esther Brooks; his children, Daniele Brooks Horne (Steven) of Penderlea, NC, Noel Keith Brooks of Wilmington, NC and Areka Christie Brooks of Atkinson, NC; his daughter-in-law Alicia Mitchell of Wilmington, NC; his siblings, Floyd Maynard Brooks Jr. (Florence) of Senoia, GA and Margaret Osburne of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Brittni Grier, James Brooks, Sara Avalos and Kaitlyn Slagowski (Ukaiah); and his great grandchildren, MikiLeigh, Taylor and Jamey.
