He was predeceased by: his father William McAbee; and his brother Charlie McAbee. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Shipman McAbee; his wife June Jones McAbee; his children, Sarah Worley, Jeff McAbee (Xylina) and Tommy McAbee; his grandchildren, Jonas Worley, Ryder Worley, Felicia Sharpe (Allen), Cori Wilson (Chris), Sydney Meadows (Tyler), Tommy McAbee, Jr. (Sierra) and Addyson McAbee; his great grandchildren, Victoria Sharpe, Judah Wilson, Charlotte Sharpe, Bethel Wilson, Noah Sharpe, Josiah Wilson, Mavis Meadows, Eden Sharpe, Kaesyn McAbee and Riley McAbee; his siblings, Dorothy Shepherd (Frank), Tina Lucas (Doug), Verna Gentry (Junior) and Mike McAbee (Judi); and his sister-in-law Cynthia McAbee.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help make things easier for his family.
