He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cheryl Fowler; his son Charlie Bass Melton of Fairview, NC; his parents, William Bass Melton (Wanda) and Linda Sotriffer (Peter) of Fairview, NC; his mother-in-law Barbara Fowler of Waynesville, NC; his sister Cheri Gordon (Bill) of Climax, NC; his nephew Tyler Gordon (Ashley) of Pleasant Garden, NC; his sisters-in-law, Pam Campbell (Richard) and Penny Holcombe (Roger) of Canton, NC; his niece Anne Banks (Greg) of Waynesville, NC.; and his pets, Arlo and Little Wayne.
