With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheryl Lee Gilbert in Asheville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Sheryl shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Sheryl farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James E. Lunsford and Joyce D. Lunsford; her husband John "Jack" Gilbert; her children, Alyssa and Kelsey Gilbert; and her siblings, Karol "Lynn" Davenport (Michael), James D. Lunsford (Sharon), Melody Lunsford and Jon E. Lunsford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
