She was predeceased by: her brothers, Thomas and David Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Charles Edwin Killian; her children, Leigh Killian Altman (Allen) of Keller, TX, Susan Killian VanderKam (Jeffrey) of Princeton, NJ, Teresa Killian Tate (Jed) of Waynesville, NC and Charles Edwin Killian, Jr. (Kristina) of Cary, NC; her grandchildren, Katie, James, Michael VanderKam, Anna, John Altman, David, Andre, Aly Killian, Samuel and Edie Rose Tate; and her siblings, Kathy Bambach, Ed Hughes III, Dorothy Hovis and Robert Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home - Arden Chapel (2393 Hendersonville Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Parish of St. Eugene Catholic Church (72 Culvern St, Asheville, NC 28804). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gilkey United Methodist Church Cemetery (108 Aydlotte Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the UNC-Greensboro Foundation or ABCCM Helene Relief Fund in honor of Sharon's legacy.
