He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Oliver Brown and Donna Jane Ammend Brown; and his brother David Brown. He is survived by: his wife Jean Carol Beggs Brown; his children, Maria Joy Brown, Laura Elizabeth Brown Edwards (Isaac), Katie Lynn Brown Merrill (Steven) and Nathanel Scott Brown; his grandchildren, Aaron Isaiah Peak, Gideon Riley Merrill, Eli Scott Merrill and Riley Lynn Merrill; his parents-in-law, Jack and Betty Beggs; his siblings, Lois Maas (Blair) and Cliff Brown; and his sister-in-law Tammy Brown.

He was a dear and gentle man who was kind, loved those around him, and took pride in the work he did and the person he was. Scott will be dearly missed! I remember meeting Scott shortly after Jean met him at Skateland in Minnesota. They skated so smoothly and in sync back then, and continued to do so through their “47+” years of marriage!
