It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Grooms (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Isaiah Carswell and Callie Mace Carswell; her husband Harry "Bo" Grooms; her granddaughter Stacie Gleesing; and her siblings, Ruth Wheeler, Vernie Gaddy and Wilson Carswell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Ann Forbes of Asheville and Jean Trantham (Charles) of Asheville; her grandson Chuck Trantham (August) of Las Vegas, NV; her great grandchildren, Natalie and Jackson; and her sister Maggie Toney of Bostic. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
