She was predeceased by: her parents, Berlin Wilson Warren and Lucille "Lucy" Whitted Warren; her husband Wiley "Gene" Proffitt; and her siblings, Christine Howell of Joseph Benjamin, Warren, Clyde Warren and Aline Lance.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katrina Jean P. Evans (Matthew Bridges), Angela Marie Proffitt Cathcart and Teresa Gail Proffitt Thompson; her grandchildren, Amanda Machelle Norton (Zack), Daniel Marcellus Evans (Amanda), Dakota Lee Cathcart (Amber Bissette) and Casey Gene Thompson; her great grandchild Kayleigh Beck; her sister Irene Kent (Roy); and her pet Wendy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1 Chapel of Faith Dr, Candler, NC 28715). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
