It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Laughter (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Whitmire and Clara Owen Whitmire of Lake Toxaway; her husband William Harrison Laughter, Sr. (Harry); and her siblings, Haskell Whitmire, Bernice Merritt, Marlene Brand, Guyma Nicholson and Madith Orr.
She is survived by: her brothers, Daniel Whitmire (Yvette) and John Whitmire (Lila); her children, Bill, Diane Laughter, Tony, Nancy Laughter, Mary Ann and Wayne Morgan; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew Clark, Alan Morgan, Nikki Galloway, Megan Laughter, Justin, Estella Laughter, B. J. and Shannon Laughter. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
