He is survived by: his wife Jamie Vetas Penley; his brother Dennis Penley (Phoebe); his nephews, Adam Penley (Tiffany), Alex Penley (Kelly) and Austin Penley (Elizabeth); his siblings-in-law, Heidi Flood (Mackie) and Chuck Vetas (Melissa); his mother-in-law Carolyn Vetas; and his nieces and nephews, Lane Penley, Gracie Vetas (Nick), James Penley, Brayden Penley, John Penley, Emily Penley, Lincoln Penley, Addie Mae Penley and Bo Penley.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Family Funeral Services (17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (216 Shelburne Rd, Asheville, NC 28806). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the West Memorial Park (40 Roberts St, Weaverville, NC 28787).
