It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Luther Oliver (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amogene Caldwell Oliver and James Luther Oliver (Luke). He is survived by: his wife Kendall Wright Oliver; his daughters, Esther Oliver Cartwright (Greg) and Emily Oliver (Terrill Schmidt); his stepdaughter Ryan Murphy Henderson (Scott); his grandchildren, Andrew Cartwright, Alex Cartwright, Mikey Tuck, Ruby Cartwright, Zoe Oliver Tuck, Lexton Henderson and Lana Henderson; and his sisters, Jane Oliver Swafford (Bill) and Ruth Ann Oliver Fleming. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at 19 Tech Dr, Asheville, NC 28801.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jim's honor to The James L Oliver Charitable Fund at The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.
