He was predeceased by: his parents, Erle Pike and Mary Nagel Pike; and his wife Mary Felmet Pike. He is survived by: his daughter Mitzi V. Coats (Robert Taylor); his grandson Bo Coats (Brook); his great grandchildren, Bryce Coats (Kinsley), Bella Coats and Chasiton Coats; his great great grandchild Vallee Mae; his nieces and nephews, Steve Felmet, Barry York, Brent York, Lisa Felmet McCain and Suzette Felmet Todd; and his sister-in-law Edna Felmet (Barbara Felmet).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pisgah View Memorial Park (1529 Smokey Park Hwy, Candler, NC 28715).
