He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd William and Nora Babb Sutphin. He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Sutphin Hensley and Misty Sutphin Sharpe (Chris); the mother of his children Linda Lee; his grandchildren, Kristina Harwood (Koty), Savannah Hensley (Paige) and Morgan Sharpe; his great grandchildren, Weston and Amila; and his siblings, Gail S. Jones (Rick), Ron Sutphin (Juanita) and Johnny Sutphin (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Cemetery (25 New Leicester Hwy, Asheville, NC 28806).
