He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Wilson and Frances Mosley Smith; his son Carlos Burton; his grandparents, Benjamin and Myrtle Thompson; his great-grandparents, Hester Mills and Eva Lou Sullivan; and his siblings, Shawn Wilson and Sonya Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Courtney Jeter (Kendrick), Danielle and Erica Jeter; his siblings, Alvernon Bomar, Andre Wilson, Sandra Pearson (Calvin) and Monica Whitson; and his close friend Ava Roberts. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ray Funeral and Cremation Service (1373 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Wc State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
