He was predeceased by: his parents, Rass Thomas and Anna Mae Thomas; and his sisters, Iris Woody and Norma Robinson. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Thomas Calderwood; his son-in-law Sean Calderwood; his granddaughter Alayna Calderwood of Charlotte, NC.; his sisters, Glenna McIntosh of Burnsville, NC and Marquieta Wilson; and his brother-in-law Danny Wilson of Morganton, NC.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church (8601 Bryant Farms Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277).
