She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Grindstaff and Cilla English; her husband Justus W. DeLaney; and her siblings, Irene Blankenship, Eula Ingle, Alice Hensley, Ardis Edwards, Boyd, Calvin and Vaughn Grindstaff.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry DeLaney (Renee) of Knoxville, TN, Tim DeLaney (Diana) of Jonesboro, GA and Gary DeLaney (Whitney) of Alpharetta, GA; her grandchildren, Jordan DeLaney (Kelli), Josh DeLaney (Erika), Amberlee Trulove (Michael), Chris DeLaney and Courtney Stewart (Matthew); and her great grandchildren, Saylor, Ashton, Layton, Eloise, Jack DeLaney of Knoxville, TN, Octave, Bijou DeLaney of Newberg, OR, Titus, Mercy, Levi, Haven, Autumn, Shepherd and Eden Stewart of Springdale, AR. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Upper Laurel Baptist Church (9940 US Hwy 23, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
