We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2024, at the age of 78, Clarence Roberts of Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelos Roberts and Marie Roberts; his wife Joyce Roberts; and his siblings, Rosa Mace, Shelby Jean Carver (Bobby) and Dean Roberts.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Jo Worley, Judy Fortner (Walter), Wilma Barnes (Bobby), David Roberts (Juanita) and Ricky Roberts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Groce Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Veteran's Cemetery (962 Old Hwy 70 E, Black Mountain, NC 28711).

“I got to know Clarence for a brief time , while serving him during his time at the VA. I told him how I enjoyed coming into his presence, because the room seemed to light up with his smile. Be less like myself, and more like Jesus. You will be missed.”
