He is survived by: his parent Mary Catherine Creasman Rutledge; his wife Patricia Lackey Rutledge; his children, Bunny Smith (Danny), Charles Joseph Rutledge, Jr. (Christine) and Amy Ray (George); his grandchildren, Arianne Ray (Colby) and Tony Smith; and his great grandchild Jimma Ann Ray.
