She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Mae Edwards and George Brown; and her brothers, Ronnie, Alan and Jerry Edwards of Chicago, IL.
She is survived by: her husband Francis Maurice Smith; her stepchildren, Alexandrarus Smith of Texas, Tiffany Alagbo of Asheville, NC and Rodney Smith of Asheville, NC; and her foster sons, Jacob Bowman of Asheville, NC, William Mosely of Hendersonville, NC and Nathan Drum of North Carolina. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ray Funeral and Cremation Service (1373 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Sunset Cemetery (1138 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803).
