He was predeceased by: his stepchild Therian Terry; and his father Arthur Gene "Boyd" Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Annette Simmons; his daughter Mia Terry Simpson (Charles); his stepchildren, Doneka Terry (Quinneshia), Dexter Terry and Theodore Philson (Mariah); his mother Oralene Simmons; and his sisters, Rhonda Sloan (Thomas), Sheila Simmons, Kyle Simmons (Donna) and Namurah Blakely (Jonathan). He is also survived by his family, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nazareth First Missionary Baptist Church (146 Pine St, Asheville, NC 28801). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
