She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Wood Sawyer, Sr. and Mary Frances Wiseman Sawyer; her husband Kenneth "Speedy" Watts; her siblings, Roscoe "Ross" Wood Sawyer, Jr. and Margaret "Peggy" Frances Slusher; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Tobin and Douglas Watts.
She is survived by: her son Adam Scott Watts (Mara); her grandchildren, Sawyer Watts, Henley Watts and Zylie Watts; her siblings, Mary Lou Sawyer Tobin, Katherine Clara Sawyer, Alan Dale Sawyer (Mary), Theodore "Teddy" Dean Sawyer (Patty), Elizabeth Irene Sawyer Bunting (Floyd), Caroline Hope Sawyer Bass (Todd), Stephen Adam Sawyer (Sandra), Scott Mark Sawyer (Crystal), Christopher Victor Sawyer (Cathy) and Susan Joy Sawyer Brinegar (Jeff); and her siblings-in-law, Elaine Sawyer, Connie Watts Woods (Dennis), Jewel Watts Suttle and Conn Slusher. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home (1428 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
