He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Burton Johnson; his children, Patricia Burton (Jackie), Sandra Lindsey (Marvin), Jacqueline Goode (Jeffery) and David Grant, Jr. (Tonya); and his brothers, Alford John Johnson (Mattie) and Arnold Joseph Johnson (Frances). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
