He is survived by: his wife Susan Blevins Aust; his son Alan Aust, Jr. (Debbie); his grandchildren, Mila, Harper and Ivy; his son Nick Aust; his grandson Brayden; and his brother Curt Aust (Deidre).
A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A reception was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
