She was predeceased by: her husband Joe L. Kearns; her parents, Frederick Held and Margaret Birnie Held; her stepson Jeff Kearns; and her brother Daron Held.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jodi Wright (Buddy) of Asheboro and Jacquelyn Triplett (George) of Archdale; her sister Kristi Berg (Arne) of Devils Lake; and her grandchildren, James, Stephanie, Megan, Amy, Taylor and Jessie. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.
