He was predeceased by: his parents, William Swaney and Clara Mae Kindley Swaney; his son Mark Eugene Swaney; and his sisters, Norma Jean Carter (Robert) and Ellen Presnell (Eugene).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Craven Swaney; his son Thomas Swaney (Kathy) of Asheboro; his sister Carolyn Cox (Gary) of Sophia; and his granddaughter Bridget Tori Swaney of Asheboro. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
